THE AFTER

Association Les Âpres was born from the will of the actors, producers present in the areas with contexts

specific pedoclimates little exploited for the development of certain perfume plants,

adapted organic aromatic and medicinal products (PPAM) with the mission of promoting, enhancing and training the players in this sector.

Acidophiles

First project of the ACIDOPHILES association brings together producers of organic ppam acid humus soils of the middle mountains

Pedoclimatic specificities

Weed-rich, humus-rich, moist soils with a relatively low pH of 5-5.5 in the highly contrasted mountain climate zone

Socio-demographic specificities

Land often deserted, ZRR in most cases, historical areal cattle farms or other without too much crop in production, far from modern infrastructure and bloodless because of the rural exodus

Natural specificities in research of agro-ecology

Reserves and resources of unique local biodiversity to be protected, often regional or national parks crossed by mountain rivers and populated by wildlife, very demanding in the conservation of their unique biodiversity

Labor shortage due to geographical isolation and non-accessibility aggravated by a lack of executives and technicians specialized in the production of ppam
